As seen in the New York Times kids gift guide.
This set helps children learn numbers as they mimic the hands on the blocks. Counting on fingers is a child's first important experience with number sense - these blocks make that experience concrete and tied to the written numbers. The wood blocks alternate between maple and walnut for the odd and even numbers. We seal each block with our own jojoba oil/beeswax blend. Safe for all ages, even teething little ones

Counting Numbers Natural Wood Blocks
We love these and look forward to many play sessions with my grand daughter. They fit perfectly in her little hands and we don’t worry about her putting them in her mouth.
I have actually bought three of these now as Christmas gifts for babies under 1. I think they’re super cute and the babies will have fun playing with them. My son is turning too and can only just make a thumbs up.
I've gotten a couple of wooden toys from Manzanita Kids and they are all well made and were received well by the recipient! They will last a long time as they are made of wood and I also love that they are not plastic and don't have anything to harm the little ones! I'm so glad I found this company!!!
