BPA Free Baby Products

So what is BPA anyways?

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical used to make plastics and other products. It has a bad reputation because it is often linked to cancer, infertility and other scary consequences.

The FDA is constantly looking for alternatives to this synthetic material and are also looking for ways to make it safer for humans. Their efforts have produced over 40 years of research and improvements. BPA has been deemed okay in small exposure. Chances are that you will not be affected, but if you are worried, here are a few safer alternatives to plastic toys, pacifiers and bottles.

BPA Free Baby Bottles

The jury is still out on this one, but we have been researching BPA-free bottles to give to our little ones. The people of Amazon have spoken and this is the best-seller that mimics the mother's nipple.

This bottle BPA-Free polypropylene material is easy to sterilize. It's not completely free of BPA, but this company has done a good job to spread awareness and shed some light on ways to "fight" BPA in the home.

Wooden Toys

Wooden toys are the perfect alternative to plastic toys. If you can think of any non-battery toy, there is probably a wooden alternative. Imagine your favorite stacker as a kid: There's a wooden alternative, and it's much more attractive. The added bonus for switching to wooden toys is that you will want to leave them out.

Wooden Teethers

On that same note, wooden teethers are a GREAT switch if you are concerned about BPA. Babies teeth on wooden cribs all the time, so why not give the people what they want?

BPA-Free Storage Bowls

Baby food storage is necessary if you are experimenting with solid foods and making your own baby food. Most bowls are made with BPA, so we found an alternative that didn't contain BPA. These bowls  are the perfect answer to this worry.

These are also better than glass so you don't risk breaking the bowls during your busy feeding hours. With a 4.7 star on Amazon, it is safe to say that these are perfect for your little one's food (and yours, too!)
